Healthy Suhoor recipes for Ramadan
Suhoor is one of the important meals in the month of Ramadan because it works to provide the body with energy and prevents the feeling of thirst during the day in Ramadan, especially when Ramadan comes in the summer. And the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, mentioned: “Enjoy the suhoor, for there is a blessing in it.” This confirms the importance of suhoor in order to prevent the feeling of hunger and thirst throughout the day. This does not mean that you resort to eating a fatty and unhealthy meal, but it is preferable that this meal contains nutrients that are beneficial to the body and provide it with nutrients such as fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, cheese, useful sweets, and salads, with enough water or fresh juices to hydrate the body throughout the day.
Eggs:
Eggs contain many important elements that make them an essential dish on the Suhoor meal. It contains protein, fats, vitamins, and carbohydrates needed to provide the body with energy throughout the day in Ramadan.
1. Eggs with Feta Cheese:
Ingredients:
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons of feta cheese
- 2 teaspoons of milk
Directions:
- Prepare a medium-sized bowl; then whisk the eggs with the pepper.
- In another separate bowl, combine the melted feta cheese and milk, stirring well with a fork.
- Use a non-stick frying pan, set the stove to a medium heat.
- Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the pan and the eggs and stir well, taking care to distribute the eggs throughout the pan to ensure the maturity of all its parts.
- Add cheese on top of the eggs after you have finished preparing it, and you can roll it to take the cylindrical shape or fold it again to enjoy eating it.
2. Mushroom eggs:
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized eggs.
- 1 medium-sized onion.
- A handful of mushrooms.
- Vegetable cooking oil.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a small frying pan over medium heat.
- Immediately after the oil is heated, add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the onions and fry until it becomes transparent, then add the mushrooms and stir until it becomes soft
- And add salt and pepper to taste, and once the mushrooms are cooked, you can separate them in a side bowl
- Next, beat the eggs well with a fork and fry the eggs in another frying pan.
- After preparing the eggs, add mushrooms on top and now you can enjoy the sweetest meal with toast and vegetable salad.
3. Eggs with pastrami:
Ingredients:
- ½ lb of pastrami.
- 4 eggs.
- 1 tablespoon of butter or oil.
Directions:
- Cut the pastrami into small pieces.
- Prepare a medium-sized frying pan, put a tablespoon of butter/oil and leave it until it melts.
- Add the pastrami to the melted butter and cook for 30 seconds until it becomes a little lighter in color.
- Add the eggs to the pastrami stir together, wait until the eggs are cooked, and then remove them from the stove.
- Now it is ready to be served.

4. Eggs with green pepper and spinach
Ingredients:
- 10 eggs
- 1/2 cup of flour.
- 1/2 teaspoon Bing Powder.
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cups of cheese
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
- 10 ounces of green pepper
- 10 ounces chopped fresh spinach.
Directions:
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Prepare a large mixing bowl, and then beat the eggs you have.
- Add cheddar cheese to the eggs and stir until well combined.
- Add chopped green pepper and spinach to the egg and cheese mixture.
- Stir the mixture into the flour and baking powder.
- Prepare a baking dish and grease the dish with melted butter.
- Then, add the mixture to the baking dish and distribute it evenly.
- Cover a baking dish with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes until it turns golden brown.
5. Eggs with zucchini:
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- 2, 1/2 cup onions cut into slices.
- 1 tablespoon of minced garlic.
- 250 gm zucchini, cut into small pieces.
- 28 ounces of tomatoes.
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil.
- 4 large eggs.
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.
- 4 slices of Italian bread.
Directions:
- Prepare a non-stick frying pan, add the oil and let it heat up over a medium heat, then add the onions and garlic and fry for 5 minutes until the onions turn transparent.
- Add the zucchini, cover the mixture, and leave the zucchini until they are cooked about 10 minutes, and add the tomato juice and red pepper, then add the eggs and fry for 5 minutes until they are cooked.
- After finishing, put mozzarella cheese on the plate and heat the dish in the oven for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Now the dish is ready to be served.

6. Eggs with potatoes and cheese:
Ingredients:
- 4 medium sized roast potatoes.
- 1/2 cup chopped onion.
- 2 small spoons of black pepper.
- 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- 1/4 cup canola oil.
- 3 tablespoons of butter.
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of milk.
- 1 pinch of black pepper.
- 4 slices of red meat.
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
Ingredients for decorating:
- 1 chopped avocado
- 1 small tomato.
- 1 green onion.
Directions:
- Heat the oven to a temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces, and chop the onions finely.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add canola oil.
- Add the potatoes, onions, salt, and pepper and stir them together until the potatoes turn brown. This may take about 15 minutes.
- Add the cooked potatoes to a medium-sized bowl, and add the eggs and milk in a separate bowl, and a little pepper.
- Cut the red meat into small slices.
- Prepare a medium-sized frying pan and spread the butter in it well.
- Add the baked potatoes into the pan, and then add the red meat pieces, the egg mixture, and the mozzarella cheese.
- Then bake the mixture in the oven for 15 minutes.
- And after you take it out of the oven, you can add avocados and tomatoes for garnish.
7. Eggs with tomatoes:
Ingredients:
- 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Little pepper.
- 3 tomatoes cut into small pieces.
- A small amount of water.
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup.
- 1 tablespoon corn starch.
- 1 minced onion.
Directions:
- Prepare a medium-sized frying pan.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and stir the eggs until the eggs are cooked and when done, put the eggs on one side.
- Prepare another pan, add a tablespoon of oil, and heat it, then add the tomato pieces and immediately before cooking the tomatoes add the eggs and stir well.
- And after it is ready, you can add green eggs for decoration.
