This recipe touches the hearts before touching the buds with a combo of rice and fish; and topped with toasted nuts; this recipe will your next favorite dish.
2cupsof washed and soaked rice into hot water and salt with a spoonful of vinegar for about an hour and a half
1 1/2 cups of mixed nuts
For the spices
4piecescardamom pods
1piecebay leaf
1cinnamon stick
2black lemons
1teaspoonof cinnamon powder
1teaspoon of crushed lemon
1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Place the onion in a large sauce pan and sauté into hot oil until it starts caramelizing over a medium high, heat.
Add all of the flavorings; then mix very well until you smell the aromas
Pour the boiling water; then add in the sugar; and the magi stock
Cover the saucepan and let it boil on a medium heat for about 20 minutes until it becomes caramelized
Drain the onion from the broth and set it aside
Add in the rice; then let simmer with the lid open until the rice rises
Season the fish with the salt, the lemon and the fish spices
You can whether steam the fish on top of the rice by putting it right before the rice is perfectly cooked; or if you want to pan fry it into a small quantity of hot oil for a few minutes
Your dish is now ready; serve the rice with the fried fish and top with nuts of your choice
