Sfeeha (Sfihas), or what some people prefer to call it as lahm baajin is a delicious and nutritious dish at the same time that doesn’t need so much time to prepare it.
1teaspoon of sugardissolved into a cup of warm water
1tablespoonof instant yeast
1teaspoon of salt
Ingredients for the filling:
1pound of ground meatlamb or beef
2tablespoonsfinely chopped tomatoes
1teaspoon red spicy chili paste
2pieceFinely chopped medium onions
1/2 teaspoon of seven spices
1/4 cup of pine nuts
1small teaspoon of salt
Instructions
Mix the eggs with the flour, the vegetable oil, the instant yeast and the salt in a large mixing bowl
Add in the water to your ingredients and knead very well until you get soft dough
Cover your dough with a clean plastic wrap and let the dough rest for about 20 minutes to rise in a warm place
In the meantime, prepare the filling and to do that; mix the ground meat with the chopped tomatoes, the chili paste, the finely chopped onions, the seven spice, the salt and the pine nuts and mix very well with a wooden spoon or with your hand
Cut the dough into circles; then place the same amount of the filling in the center of each of the circles
Close each of the ends of the circles tightly; then arrange the stuffed circles in a greased baking tray
Bake into the oven at a high temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes
Remove from the oven; then serve and enjoy your dish!
